With implementation complete in Perth and underway at key Canon Pro Dealer locations in Brisbane, Adelaide, and Canberra, this latest phase sees the appointment of new CPS agencies in Sydney and Melbourne to offer service at locations convenient to most working professionals. “The feedback we’re receiving from Perth, where the rollout is complete, tells us that this model is delivering working professionals what they need – fast, consistent service and convenience,” says Alan Brightman, Manager – Professional Imaging, Canon Australia. “With service agents able to assess and accept equipment in most capital cities, CPS members outside Sydney and Melbourne will no longer have to manage logistics of sending equipment to Sydney for diagnosis and repair.” CPS Headquarters relocating to Sun Studios In Sydney, the CPS headquarters is relocating from Canon’s North Ryde office to Sun Studios, Alexandria, a location chosen

Pinterest – maybe not such a good thing to support ?? – By Chris Shain
Dijana Risteska | ArticlesThankfully our friends at ASMP (and others) have been lobbying hard to get the very imbalanced T+C changed. William has kindly posted elsewhere the latest T+C (which I’m sure will keep changing) Pinterest revolves around pinning other peoples pictures (I’ve discovered some of mine that I’m not that happy about) up to their page, the problem for me is that many of those pictures are put up without any permission of the person that owns the image, and in the vast majority of cases, without any attribution…… Which highlights a very timely reminder about orphan works legislation that is still on the horizon in Australia and other countries, PLEASE please ensure that any pictures you deliver anywhere TODAY, and in the future, are identified properly – physically and electronically, once you let pictures out into the big bad world, they are out there on the terms that you set when they first get used, with or without your knowledge. I’m afraid the pictures you let out yesterday without proper ID are gone – you’ve lost them There will be some photographers who can see a marketing benefit in being involved in Pinterest – for me ? I see at as further erosion
